WVU SNA Nursing Career Fair: Fall 2026

Event Hosted by the WVU Student Nursing Association (SNA). Open to all WVU nursing and pre-nursing students and alumni.

Date: Monday, October 12, 2026
Time:  11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Health Sciences Center North, Pylons Area (Google Maps)

Meet representatives from various hospitals, clinics and other organizations seeking to hire students from the School of Nursing for shadowing, internship, or full-time opportunities. Pre-registration for students is not required, but strongly recommended to receive event reminders and explore employers and organizations attending the event.

Top Ways to Prepare:

1. Attend the SNA Meeting on Monday Oct. 5 for a session on improving your resume and preparing for the career fair.
2. Create an accurate and concise resume. Nursing resume template available on Career Services website.
3. Develop and practice your professional introduction, sometimes referred to as an elevator pitch.
4. Meet with Robert Barricelli the HSC Career Development Specialist to have your resume/CV reviewed or practice your introduction.
5. Identify the target employers that you want to visit, about 1-2 weeks prior to the event. Research the employers on Handshake and the company websites to create a list of questions to ask at the event.
6. More tips about networking at a Career Fair.
7. Student can wear scrubs or business casual attire. If you need business casual attire, please stop by the HSC Career Closet in HSS 1021.
