First Destination
The First Destination Survey is a short survey we send to graduating students to find out what they’re doing after graduation. This data helps us understand student outcomes once they leave the University.
It asks about your next steps, such as:
- Full-time or part-time job
- Graduate or professional school
- Internship, fellowship, service program, or military
- Entrepreneurship/starting a business
- Still seeking employment or continuing education
The University’s FDS data is reported to the National Association of Colleges and Employers to track national outcomes and salary data for college graduates.
Why should you complete it?

Your responses give real data about where graduates go, what companies hire from your school, and average salaries. This helps current and future students make more informed decisions about majors, internships, and careers.
