WVU Pre-Health Professional Development Office
The WVU Pre-Health Professional Development Office was founded in 2016 with the mission to provide advising and career services for students and alumni interested in pursuing graduate level health professional school (e.g. dental, medical, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy, podiatry, etc.).
WVU Pre-Health Office offer seminars throughout the Fall and Spring semesters to help students prepare for health professional school. Students and alumni can also schedule one-on-one advising appointments to prepare for interviews, review personal statements, and provide application support for students pursuing health professional programs.
The Pre-Health Office works closely with Career Development Specialists across campus to assist students with application materials and improving interviewing skills.

- GPA calculator: When applying to health professional school, you will submit your application through an application service. This application service will, among other things, review your transcripts and standardize your GPA using their grade-point conversion scale, which is different from WVU’s scale.
